Boston Combine a Success!
The Collegiate Recruitment and Combine Program schedule had a successful launch Saturday in Boston. Seventeen colleges sent representatives to discuss their schools with high school student athletes and coaches attended and spoke about their rugby programs. High school athletes from all of New England participated from 1pm until 4pm in the Madison Park field house.
Sponsored by adidas, Royall Lyme and World Rugby Shop, the site was set up for the 9 drills and the College Recruitment representatives in a professional and functional manner, allowing logical flow of athletes from drills to colleges.
Colleges across the country are invited to send representatives to every CRCP. Simply contacting a college alum in any of the host cities and having the college Admissions office send that alum handouts and information allows every college direct access to student-athletes.
The fee for high school student-athletes has been waived for 2012. Student-athletes and their parents can speak directly to college representatives and coaches in attendance and can have their profiles reviewed by college coaches nationwide. This potentially opens doors previously unconsidered by student-athletes when deciding college applications.
